Your submission is your moment to shine and a strong, well-crafted entry can make all the difference. The judge is looking for clear, compelling answers that tell a story, backed by evidence and heart.

Submission Requirements:

Describe why you deserve to win this award (500 words or less).

Your submission must include a response to the following:

  1. How have you improved your business?
  2. How do you develop your skills in the workplace?
  3. What measures have you taken to reduce the environment impacts in your business?
  4. How do you deliver an excellent customer experience?

Each question is scored out of 25.

Remember not to understate your business achievements.

Ensure you include information on important aspects of the business and recent business activity in the submission.

Members who submit applications for multiple sites/franchises must ensure that a separate, distinct application is submitted for each site/franchise and that the achievements and associated evidence in the submission are specific to the individual site/franchise.

Show, Don’t Just Tell

Provide evidence supporting your claim in your application with attachments.

When making a claim please reference relevant supporting evidence.

Supporting evidence may be a summary or an item of visual material, such a workplace document or a photograph. For example, a simple claim of LED lighting installed in October 2025 to improve workshop lighting and energy efficiency – strengthens the claim that the business is improving its environmental practices
