Judging

Member applications for the Automotive Industry Awards are reviewed based on their submission and undergo independent auditing.

Audit Details:

  • Audit Period: Spot audits will be randomly selected during the judging period from 30 March to 17 April 2026.
  • Audit Types: Not all applications will be audited. Some will be audited on-site and by phone.

A date and time will be arranged in advance.

A representative who knows the business well should be available.

Allow approximately one hour for the visit.

Finalist Notification:

  • Completion of Audits: Once the auditing process is completed and results are reviewed, finalists will be notified on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.

Awards Night Celebration:

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Automotive Industry Awards dinner, which will be held on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at Palladium Crown, Melbourne.

ELIGIBILITY

The Automotive Industry Awards (AIA) are open to all Victorian and Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC/TACC) members, both accredited and non-accredited.

  • Applicants must be a current financial member business and the primary holder of the membership throughout 2025.
  • Each application must represent one member business. Businesses with multiple sites must ensure each site is a financial member with its own member number.
  • A maximum of two award categories may be entered per member business.
  • Entries must relate to business activities undertaken between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2025.
  • Member businesses or individuals found in breach of the VACC/TACC Code of Business Practice during the qualifying period are ineligible to enter.

After submitting an application, if the nominated business enters litigation, administration, voluntary receivership, liquidation or bankruptcy, the applicant must inform the awards organiser and acknowledge that the business is no longer eligible to participate in the industry awards.
